Hard Hat Graft: terms of use
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms apply to the Hard Hat Graft game for iPhone ("the game"), made and published by Stu Crompton ("we", "us"). By downloading or playing the game you agree to them. They sit alongside the game's licence and privacy policy. They do not cover the Hard Hat Way app, which has its own terms.
1. The game
The game is free. It has no adverts and nothing to buy. We may release updates that fix, change, add or remove parts of it.
2. Your use
You may play the game for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Please do not copy, sell or redistribute it, alter it, or try to extract its code or its art, music and sounds.
3. Your saved game
Your progress is kept on your iPhone. We cannot see it, restore it or move it to another device for you, and we are not responsible if it is lost, for example by deleting the game or resetting your phone.
4. Content
The game is a work of fiction. Its town, its people and its businesses are made up, and any likeness to real people or places is coincidental. Building in the game is simplified for play and is not advice on real construction work.
5. Other people's work
Parts of the game's art, music and sound are by other creators, used under their licences and named in the game's credits.
6. No warranty
We make the game with care, but it is provided "as is", without any promise that it will be free of faults or available on every device. Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
7. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect loss arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Playing the game after a change means you accept the new terms.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
