Account Deletion
How to delete your Hard Hat Way account and data.
Delete Your Account from the App
You can delete your Hard Hat Way account directly from within the app. Here's how:
- Open the Hard Hat Way app
- Go to Settings (tap your profile, then the settings icon)
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following will be permanently removed:
- Your profile and all personal information
- All posts, photos, and videos you have uploaded
- All comments and reactions you have made
- Your messages and conversations
- Your SiteCred score and endorsement history
- Any Site Calls you have created or responded to
- ProQuote data and saved quotes
- Your push notification device token
What May Be Retained
In limited circumstances, some data may be retained after account deletion:
- Data we are legally required to keep (e.g. transaction records for tax purposes)
- Anonymised or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you
- Cached copies during the deletion processing period (up to 30 days)
Cancel Your Subscription First
To cancel your subscription:
- Open your iPhone's Settings
- Tap your Apple ID at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find Hard Hat Way and tap Cancel Subscription
Request Deletion by Email
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing support@hardhatway.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include:
- Your username
- The email address associated with your account
Send the request from the email address associated with your account. That is how we confirm the request is yours; we cannot act on a deletion request sent from a different address.
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.
