Hard Hat Way is committed to protecting minors and maintaining a safe environment for all users. This page outlines our standards and practices for preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform, in compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.

Our Commitment

Hard Hat Way is a social networking platform designed for construction workers and tradespeople. While our platform is intended for adults in the construction industry, we take our responsibility to protect minors seriously. We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards any content or behaviour that exploits, endangers, or harms children.

Prevention Measures

Content Moderation

We employ a combination of automated systems and human review to detect and remove prohibited content. All user-generated content — including posts, images, videos, profile information, and messages — is subject to moderation.

User Reporting

Hard Hat Way provides in-app reporting tools that allow any user to flag content or behaviour they believe violates our policies, including content that may involve the exploitation of minors. Reports related to child safety are treated as the highest priority and are reviewed promptly.

Account Enforcement

Accounts found to be in violation of our child safety standards will be immediately suspended or permanently terminated. We reserve the right to take action without prior warning in cases involving child safety.

Age Requirements

Users must be at least 17 years old to create an account on Hard Hat Way. We enforce this through age verification during the registration process.

Reporting to Authorities

Hard Hat Way complies with all applicable child safety laws in the United Kingdom and internationally. When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or child exploitation, we will:

1. Immediately remove the content from our platform
2. Preserve relevant evidence for law enforcement
3. Report the incident to the National Crime Agency (NCA) in the UK via the CEOP command, and/or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as applicable
4. Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations
5. Report to relevant regional and national authorities as required by local laws

If you encounter any content or behaviour on Hard Hat Way that you believe may involve the exploitation or endangerment of a child, please report it immediately using one of the following methods:

Staff Training & Accountability

All team members involved in content moderation and user safety are trained in identifying and responding to potential CSAE. Our procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect evolving best practices and legal requirements.

Transparency & Updates

We are committed to transparency in our child safety practices. This policy will be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure it remains effective and aligned with current legislation, including the UK Online Safety Act 2023 and other applicable regulations.
