3. How We Moderate Content
Our approach: We believe in fair, transparent moderation. We moderate to keep the community safe and respectful, not to silence opinions or stifle discussion.
Content moderation on Hard Hat Way includes:
- Automated systems: We use automated tools to detect and flag potentially harmful content (e.g. nudity, spam, hate speech) before it is published or shortly after
- User reports: Any user can report content they believe violates our policies using the in-app report button
- Manual review: Flagged and reported content is reviewed by our team to determine whether it violates our policies
4. Reporting Content
If you see content that violates this policy, please report it using the report button available on every post, comment, and profile. You can also email [email protected].
When reporting, please select the most relevant reason so we can review it efficiently. All reports are confidential — the reported user will not be told who made the report.
5. What Happens When Content Is Removed
When content is found to violate our policies:
- The content will be removed from the Platform
- The user who posted it will be notified of the removal and the reason
- Depending on the severity, the user may receive a warning, a temporary restriction, or a permanent suspension
6. Enforcement and Consequences
We take a proportionate approach to enforcement:
- Warning: For first-time or minor violations, the content is removed and the user is warned
- Temporary restriction: For repeated or more serious violations, posting or interaction privileges may be temporarily restricted
- Permanent suspension: For severe violations (e.g. hate speech, CSAM, threats of violence) or persistent repeat offences, the account will be permanently suspended
We reserve the right to escalate directly to permanent suspension for the most serious violations.
7. Appeals
If you believe your content was removed in error, or that action taken against your account was unjustified, you can appeal by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Content Appeal".
Please include your username, a description of the content that was removed, and why you believe the decision was incorrect. We aim to review appeals within 7 working days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Content Policy from time to time as the Platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
